"Gojo! Stand straight." Masamichi Yaga's eye twitched as he made a warning gesture.
Turning around, he addressed the other students who were standing nearby, watching the spectacle.
"I feel like I've been hit by an illusion-type Cursed Technique.. Why on earth did I just see Senior Gojo being carried by a man in a suit?" Makoto Hibara's expression remained dazed.
Nobara Iori, who had been glared at by Masamichi Yaga, finally pulled back her phone, which she had been using to take photos. "You didn't see it wrong, Makoto Hibara. It was a bridal carry, too."
Suguru Geto couldn't help but want to laugh at the thought of Satoru Gojo acting "girly" and leaning against someone's shoulder, his eyes narrowing into thin slits.
What if Satoru actually has a 'girly' side like that? It looks so romantic.
Satoru Gojo looked over with a faint gaze upon hearing the words. "If Suguru likes romance this much, why don't you try it out yourself next time?"
Quiet!
Masamichi Yaga silenced the students' whispering, suppressed his temper, introduced Kobe Suzuo, who was adjusting her cuffs beside him, to the group.
“This is Satoru Gojo, a second-year student. Behind him are Suguru Geto and Nobara Iori from the same year, as well as Makoto Hibara and Kento Nanami from the first year.”
The students, standing in a sparse line, had vastly different personalities, but they all greeted one another politely.
Only then did Kobe Suzuo nod slightly and introduce herself to the students, who were gathered in a lazy line:
I am Kobe Suzuo. For the time being, I will serve as an Assistant Supervisor, responsible for coordinating missions for the Jujutsu High students as well as handling logistics.
He spoke with such politeness and composure that one could find absolutely nothing wrong with him.
You're kidding, right?" Makoto Hibara whispered, "He doesn't look like it at all.
He certainly didn't look the part; his attire and temperament were completely mismatched for an Assistant Supervisor.
Satoru Gojo felt a slight sense of dissatisfaction at being completely ignored by Kobe Suzuo, he curled his lips, saying, "You're just a young master out here living a life of leisure!"
Suguru Geto said helplessly, "You, the young master of the Gojo Clan, have no right to speak of others."
Kobe Suzuo had no interest in bickering with the ill-tempered brat; her gaze lingered only for a moment on those miraculous sky-colored eyes before she got down to business.
According to Window's observations, a semi-Grade 1 Cursed Spirit has appeared in the abandoned villa cluster in the western Tama District. Following an evaluation by the Director's Department, Jujutsu Sorcerer Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto have been assigned to handle the situation.
Satoru Gojo crossed his hands behind his head, his tone casual and nonchalant:
Eh~ I thought Mr. Suzuo came to Jujutsu High specifically to get to know us and build some rapport, but it turns out he's just dragging us off to work after all.
With that, he walked away toward the edge of the training field with his long strides.
Suguru Geto nodded politely and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Suzuo. I look forward to working with you."
After finishing his greeting, he was about to catch up with Satoru Gojo, who was walking ahead, when he saw the white-haired young man suddenly halt his steps and look up toward the horizon.
Suguru Geto seemed to sense something and followed Satoru Gojo's gaze toward the horizon.
At first, it was just a tiny black dot. Soon, the black dot enlarged, the "thud-thud" noise of the blades beating grew from a distance, accompanied by a low rumble that gradually became clearer.
It was a helicopter.
The air currents stirred the fabric of his clothes. Makoto Hibara took a defensive stance and shouted amidst the noise, "What is going on?!"
Kento Nanami said nothing, silently gripping his cursed tool.
Does the defensive barrier of Jujutsu High not block helicopters? Is it even possible to break in like this?
Jujutsu Sorcerers are well-versed and have seen all sorts of things; what kind of scene could they possibly not have seen before?
Sorry, but they had truly never seen a scene like a helicopter hovering over Jujutsu High.
People wearing black tactical uniforms slid down the boarding stairs. Under the wary gazes of the crowd, they landed and bowed ninety degrees to Kobe Suzuo. "Mr. Suzuo."
Kobe Suzuo nodded calmly, turning back to look at Suguru Geto and Satoru Gojo.
The meaning was crystal clear: the transportation had arrived, so they had better hurry up and follow.
All the Jujutsu High members, including Masamichi Yaga, fell silent.
Nobara Iori expressionlessly raised her phone and took a series of photos of the departing helicopter, then sent them, along with the "princess carry" photo, into the Jujutsu High alumni group chat.
After a long time, the noise of the helicopter finally faded from his mind, only then did Makoto Hibara find his voice: "Teacher, what exactly is going on with that person?"
Masamichi Yaga felt deep suspicions regarding Kobe Suzuo's claim of "keeping a low profile and hiding one's identity."
He wiped his face. "The new Assistant Supervisor.. probably."
Chapter 2 That Director
The villa complex in the Tama District, which Changxia was developing, became an abandoned construction site after investors withdrew their funding halfway through the project.
Afterward, it became entangled in issues regarding unpaid wages for workers and suicide cases. By the beginning of the year, rumors that this area had bad feng shui and frequent paranormal occurrences had grown increasingly intense.
By the time "Window" detected the lingering traces of Cursed Energy here and released a mission after discovering signs of Cursed Spirit activity, the number of missing persons cases in the Changxia villa complex had already accumulated to a staggering nine.
Right now, a helicopter is hovering above this desolate, unfinished building area.
The Cursed Spirit's base grade is Grade 1, with its maximum Cursed Energy estimated to be 30% to 60% above that level. Its ability keyword is [Blade], its Cursed Technique is powerful but simple in application.
With every word Kobe Suzuo spoke, Suguru Geto's astonishment grew deeper.
Since enrolling in Jujutsu High and becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer, this was the first time he had received such detailed mission intelligence.
It has four limbs but no humanoid form, is agile in movement, lacks the ability to fly, has a concealment level that is above average. It possesses no special rule-based abilities; a direct confrontation is recommended for its removal.
Estimated intelligence error is within 20%; please proceed with caution.
Kobe Suzuo asked, "The system has provided three response plans, but given your strength, I assume you won't need me to lecture you further, right?"
Suguru Geto's eyebrows twitched.
When did Window's information network become so high-level?
Suguru Geto was very interested in the so-called "countermeasure."
Huh? What are you talking about? Dealing with a Cursed Spirit like this is, of course, effortless for me.
Satoru Gojo had been ignored the whole way, upon hearing this, he said unhappily:
Let's go, Suguru, let's settle this quickly.
The young man, leaning lazily in his seat, suddenly grinned, a flamboyant smile spreading across his face as he swiftly unfastened his seatbelt and pushed open the hatch.
The chaotic airflow tossed his hair, his face was still youthful, with the young man's arrogance and pride displayed openly.
Satoru Gojo's mouth opened and closed a few times, his voice drowned out by the roaring noise.
Before Kobe Suzuo, he leaped from the helicopter as light as a bird and vanished from sight.
Suguru Geto could only bring the conversation to a halt, giving Kobe Suzuo a slight, apologetic smile before jumping down immediately after her.
The assistant pilot hurriedly closed the cabin door, the chaotic cabin returned to silence once more.
Mr. Suzuo, are you alright?
Kobe Suzuo shook her head.
Get ready for landing.
He saw Satoru Gojo's lip movements clearly, before jumping from the aircraft, Satoru Gojo said:
Just watch me handle this in style!
A tender, fearless youth.
A pop-up window popped up again before his eyes:
[Verification process has reached 99.7%][Continue?]
Kobe Suzuo massaged her wrist and said expressionlessly, "Continue."
..
What's the deal with that weird Assistant Supervisor?
Satoru Gojo kicked away the low-grade Cursed Spirit that was lunging at him, his face etched with indignation.
“This is our first meeting, so why do you act like you despise me so much?”
He clearly looks like a little old-fashioned brat raised by an old fogey.. No, it seems there's something a bit different about him.
What are you talking about, Satoru? You actually care about that kind of thing?
Suguru Geto patted the dust off his clothes, offering a perfunctory response while mentally comparing the accuracy of the intelligence.
I thought you were a more self-centered person. Or are you actually quite bothered by that princess carry?
Huh? Are you being sarcastic with me?
Satoru Gojo let out a sound of dissatisfaction as he leaped over the broken wall to get close to Suguru Geto.
Isn't Suguru curious? He doesn't look like someone who could serve as an Assistant Supervisor at all.
Didn't you say it yourself? He's a young master experiencing life; isn't it normal for him to be used to being high-profile?
Suguru Geto leaned down, searching for the traces where the Cursed Spirit had hidden itself exceptionally well. "But the helicopter and all that.. that really was a bit over the top."
How is that normal? I wouldn't be like him.
As Satoru Gojo spoke, he felt as though they weren't getting to the heart of the matter.
I'm talking about his Cursed Technique. It's very peculiar; when he caught me, he didn't notice the flow of Cursed Energy at all..
A flash of light streaked past his eyes; Satoru Gojo tilted his head to dodge, his azure eyes narrowing slightly.
Whoa, it's exactly like the intelligence reported.
The Cursed Spirit clinging to the high wall looked like a gecko and a spider, or perhaps both; in any case, it was uniquely hideous, a bloated mass where only its jarringly prominent limbs were clearly visible, gripping the wall with incredible strength.
The creature rapidly released several bright blades formed from Cursed Energy, moving and changing positions amidst clouds of rising dust before vanishing from sight.
“Satoru, I'm starting to see what's so interesting about that Supervisor now.”
Suguru Geto looked at the Cursed Spirit revealing its true form, the corners of his mouth curling into an inscrutable smile.
With the "Window" operating mode, detection and surveillance rely on humans or Cursed Tools, both intelligence analysis and assessment lack accuracy.
And every single error in judgment meant that a Jujutsu Sorcerer would have to face an enemy beyond their capabilities, which in turn led to casualties.
Although the accuracy of "Window's" assessments has risen sharply over the past two years, they could never directly provide intelligence as precise as that of Mr. Suzuo.
